Welcome to another BONUSode! What is a “bonus-ode”, you ask? It’s a bonus episode where we highlight a unique happening, cool initiative or talent that contributes to the overall greatness of the music industry and hopefully it inspires some of you as well!
This BONUSode we sit down Ebonnie Rowe, the founder of Honey Jam, a non-profit program for female artists which gives them a chance to showcase in front of key industry people that could potentially make their career (aka. Where Boss girls go to become superstars!). Speaking of, we’ll get in to how Nelly Furtado is connected to the initiative! We also hear about Ebonnie herself and how she built it over the course of 20 years to what it is today.
As a quick aside, I’m trying something a bit different this week. Instead of 1 regular episode, I’m going to post 2 BONUSodes. The second one will be with 416Beats and 6Entertainment, who are the official Raptors Drumline, they’re the Argos Drumline, they’ve have walked the MMVAs red carpet, performed at the Spotify 1-year Canadian anniversary party, etc. I’ll be airing that a bit later this week… Pretty cool episode to check out!
